Mount Abu is the only hill station in the deserts of Rajasthan and is located at a height of 1220 meters above the sea level. Mt Abu town sits towards the southwestern end of the plateau-like upper part of the mountain, which stretches about 19km from end to end and 6km from east to west.

Temples and ancient buildings of this place are the best examples of the rich tradition and culture of the state of Rajasthan. It is of great spiritual importance for both Hindus and Jains and has over 80 temples and shrines, most notably the exquisite Jain temples at Delwara, built between 400 and 1000 years ago. These buildings have carvings and paintings that are glorious in every sense of the imagination and tourists just don’t seem to get enough of them. Dilwara Temples of Mount Abu are one of the most renowned and important attractions, which were constructed between eleventh and thirteenth century. These are located at a distance of about two and a half kilometres from Mount Abu amidst the range of forested hills. It is one of the finest Jain temple known world over for its extraordinary architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings. Each of these five temples has an opulence entrance way and the architecture although simple is yet eye-catching reflecting Jain values like honesty and frugality. Surrounded by a high wall, the temples with their ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars and panels are simply wonderful.


Known as The mascot of Mount Abu, Toad Rock is one of the most frequented point in Mount Abu. Toad Rock is situated to the south of Nakki Lake in Mount Abu and comprises of a huge rock that looks like a toad about to jump into the water. To see the panoramic beauty of the surrounding lake and greenish hilly regions you can climb up the rock and capture the breathtaking scenery.


Nakki Lake truely defines romance in Rajasthan. Named as Love Lake of Mount Abu, it is also largest manmade lake at the height of 11,000 meters in India. Situated within walking distance from the main market and almost 80% of Hotel's and restaurent's of Mount Abu, Nakki lake posses the crown of being the heart of Mount Abu. The hub of evening activity and boating - Nakki Lake is the perfect place to spent your evening with your partner, friends and family.The picture perfect location of the lake surrounded with mountains, gardens and rock formations also make it a very good location for photography.It is also a sacred lake for the Garacia tribe of Rajasthan.


Guru Shikhar Peak is the highest mount peak in the Aravalli region and is at a distance of 15 km from Mount Abu. It is situated at a height of 1722 meters. Travellers can enjoy a bird view of the entire Aravalli range of mountains, from the top of this mountain peak. Temple of Dattatreya is one of the main attraction at Guru Shikhar peak other than scenic views.


Lying south west of Nakki Lake, Sunset point is one of the most popular viewpoints in Mount Abu. Enjoy the site of orange-colored sun setting behind the Aravali Ranges. Serene surrounding and a pleasant climate make the experience even more memorable. Hundreds of people swarm this area in the evening amidst a carnival atmosphere. Food stalls, souvenir shops abounds the area. The scenic hills, tranquil surrounding, and the pleasant climate makes it a favorite spot of the tourists. The Honeymoon Point located close by is another attraction of Mount Abu.


AchalGarh is one of the many beautiful medieval monuments that can be found in the picturesque Mount Abu, located in the desert in the state of Rajasthan, India. Achalgarh is just 8 Kilometers from the main Mount Abu town and is well connected by road. The fortress AchalGarh is surrounded by massive battlement walls. It is situated at the top of a mountain peak and offers picturesque views all year round. It is situated in the mostly desert state of Rajasthan and is often denoted to as an Oasis in the Desert.
